1. Who we are

Taylor Proactive Team is a US tax planning advisory and tax return preparation firm. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through our websites — taylorproactiveteam.com and proactiveblueprint.com — and through our services.

Because we prepare tax returns and provide financial services, we are a “financial institution” under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). If you are or become our client, the GLBA also governs how we treat your nonpublic personal information, and we will provide our GLBA Privacy Notice to you. You may request it at any time using the details in § 9.

2. Information we collect

From website visitors

WhatHowWhy
Name, email address, and phone number if you provide it, together with the income figures you enter When you use a tax calculator on our site and choose to submit the form asking us to contact you. The calculator itself does not send us anything. Your figures stay in your browser unless and until you fill in that form and submit it — if you close the page without submitting, we never receive them. So we can contact you about a consultation, and so the person who calls you has context for the conversation
The Keep More Plan: your first name and email address, together with the answers you gave — filing status, state, W-2 salary, business profit and how the business is set up, any one-time gain, how much you plan to give, what you are working toward, your interest and dividend income if you add it — and the estimate range the plan showed you. If you request an assessment, also your full name, phone number and the best time to reach you When you submit your name and email to see your full plan, or submit the assessment request form. The estimate you see before that is calculated in your browser and does not send us anything. If you close the page without submitting, we never receive your answers. To show you your full plan and follow up with you about it by email, and to reply to an assessment request
Name, email address, phone number and anything else you type into a booking form When you book a call through the Calendly scheduling widget embedded on our pages. This goes directly to Calendly, our scheduling provider. See § 4. To schedule and hold the call you requested
Standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps Automatically, in the ordinary server logs of our hosting providers To operate and secure the sites
About the income figures The figures you enter into a calculator or The Keep More Plan are estimates you type about yourself. They are not tax return information, we do not verify them, and we do not obtain them from any tax authority or third party. We store them only if you submit your details, and only so that we can follow up on your plan or request and make the conversation you asked for a useful one. When we store your IP address for abuse prevention on that form, we store it as a one-way hash, not as a readable address.

From clients

If you engage us, we collect the information necessary to provide tax planning and tax return preparation services, including the information you and your other advisors give us and the records required to prepare and support your return. That information is governed by our GLBA Privacy Notice and by Internal Revenue Code § 7216, which independently restricts what a tax return preparer may do with tax return information and generally requires your written, informed consent before we disclose or use it for anything other than preparing your return.

3. What we do with it

  • To respond to you, schedule and hold meetings, and provide the services you engage us for.
  • To show you the Keep More Plan you request, follow up with you by email about it, and reply to an assessment request.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our websites.
  • To meet our legal, tax, and professional obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

4. Third parties who receive information

We list only what we have verified. This list is kept accurate.

We also use service providers who support our practice and may handle client information. Those are covered by our GLBA Privacy Notice.

5. Cookies and analytics

We do not use website analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or third-party tracking cookies on our websites. We do not build advertising profiles of our visitors, and we do not run remarketing.

Third-party features we embed — such as the Calendly scheduling widget — may set their own cookies when you interact with them, under their own policies. Our own sites set no advertising or analytics cookies.

6. How we protect information

We maintain a written information security program designed to protect our clients' information, as required of financial institutions under federal law. Our websites and our client systems use encryption in transit (TLS). When you submit a calculator or Keep More Plan form, your name, contact details and the figures you enter are encrypted in our database; a total-income figure we keep for sorting is not. Access to client information is limited to authorized personnel and controlled by individual accounts with defined roles. We use established hosting providers, and we review our security practices, including through independent assessment.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us over the internet.

7. Children

Our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our websites. Where a client provides information about their dependents in the course of a professional engagement, we handle it as part of that client's confidential information rather than as information collected from a child.

8. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
